The village of Roquebrun and its wine cellars are situated in the Haut Languedoc National Park, 30km north of Béziers, between the two regional capitals of Montpellier and Toulouse. The vineyards are spread over 500 hectares of south facing, schistous hillsides, ideally suited to the cultivation of the traditional grape varieties of the region.
Now enjoying its own dedicated AOC status, St Chinian Roquebrun and its co-operative of winegrowers produce some of the best wines of the Languedoc region, including also AOC St Chinian, Coteaux du Languedoc and Vin de Pays classifications. The award count at Caves de Roquebrun has been impressive in recent years. The wines are imbued with the heady, herbal aromas of the surrounding hillsides and with the full, rich ripeness born of the sun-drenched terraces.
