Kadette is an approachable, inexpensive introduction to the excellence of Kanonkop wines. Vinification is accomplished via 4 to 5 days' fermentation on the skins in open fermenters at 29 C with the cap punched manually at intervals. Maturation is via 12 Months' storage in 225L French, Nevers oak barrels.
The wine has a deep ruby- red colour. It shows ripe raspberries, blackcurrant and moccha aromas on the nose and has dark chocolate and blackberry fruit on the palate. This wine has good length with a dry finish.
