Quinta da Aveleda

The Company dates from 1947, but the owners, the Guedes family, have committed themselves to the art of vine planting and wine making for more than three centuries. The premises are located in the heart of the Vinho Verde region and are named after the estate where the vines are grown - Aveleda, Sociedade Agrícola e Comercial da Quinta da Aveleda, S.A. In Autumn 2007 the well-known and influential American magazine, Wine & Spirits, distinguished Aveleda by naming them one of the 100 'Wineries of the Year'. Find out more... |

One of the great ambassadors of Portuguese wine throughout the world - Casal Garcia - is made here, and the annual production of Aveleda is circa 12 million bottles, 50% of which are exported to 50 different countries Charamba was introduced about seven years ago and has won awards and acclaim throughout the world:

Wines
- Casal Garcia Vinho Verde
Selected grape varieties are brought from the extensive vineyards of the Vinho Verde Region to the winery, to produce a smooth and fresh wine with a delicate aroma. It is the wine with the longest history at Aveleda and is easily identified by its blue label.
It is now well established throughout the world as a premier example of this famous style.
